Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist with assessments and individualized treatment programs across all ages in an inpatient setting. You will document patient progress, apply modalities and exercises, and maintain records under supervision, contributing to Mercy's mission and standards.

The role requires an OTA program graduate, current licensure eligibility, BLS certification, and up to one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as an OTA in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required and current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial patient assessments under supervision.
• Document care progress with progress notes and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities and exercise regimes per policy.
• Maintain patient records and charges documentation.
• Participate in department education activities.
• Apply knowledge of neonatal to geriatric care as appropriate.
• Perform other duties per Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
