Job summary

Armstrong Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to support patient rehabilitation under the supervision of an OT. You will help design and implement therapy plans, perform treatments, and monitor progress to promote independence and community re-entry.

The role emphasizes teamwork with healthcare professionals, accurate documentation, and patient-family education, contributing to a comprehensive care plan in a dynamic rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited COTA program.
• Current certification as a COTA.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and changes in priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and implementation of occupational therapy plans of care.
• Conduct occupational therapy treatments, including exercises, activities, and modalities.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the occupational therapist.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families to promote independence and community re-entry.
