Job summary

Apploi seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work under a licensed OT, delivering rehabilitative services to residents to enhance daily living activities and independence. The COTA implements individualized plans of care, educates families and staff, and maintains current practice standards in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities include planning treatment programs, following physician orders, and demonstrating technical proficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of current treatment practices and therapy interventions.
• Familiarity with PCC or similar electronic documentation systems preferred.
• Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload with professionalism and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment programs for residents and patients with disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding therapy goals, techniques, and outcomes.
• Demonstrate competent technical skills consistent with current COTA standards of practice.
