Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver patient-centered treatment under OT supervision in a long-term care setting. You will implement goals set by the Occupational Therapist and document patient progress in a timely manner.

The role emphasizes collaboration with all disciplines, professional conduct, and reliable attendance. Prior geriatric care experience and solid documentation skills are preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care/geriatric care preferred
• Strong documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note
• Collaborates with all disciplines for patient-centered care
• Excellent patient service and clinical excellence
• Punctual and professional at all times
• Perform duties as assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of OT.
• Provide treatment aligned with goals set by OT.
• Provide feedback to supervising OT via required documentation.
• Document patient progress weekly.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
