Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver patient care under OT supervision. The role emphasizes adherence to treatment goals and timely documentation to support ongoing rehabilitation plans.

The ideal candidate will have a valid license, experience in geriatric/long-term care, and excellent communication to collaborate with the rehabilitation team.

Qualifications

• Must have valid license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best-practice treatments under OT supervision.
• Provide treatment per goals developed by OT.
• Document patient progress weekly.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism.
• Perform duties as directed by Director of Rehabilitation.
