Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist with treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will support the OT in achieving patient-specific goals and ensure timely documentation of progress.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strong clinical care, and adherence to facility policies. Prior geriatric or long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state license/registration.
• Provide treatment under supervision of the OT.
• Geriatric care experience preferred.
• Strong documentation skills and timely progress notes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of OT.
• Document patient progress in weekly notes.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Adhere to facility policies and supervision requirements.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
