Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP, and expense processes for U.S. Government & Infrastructure clients. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with period-end close while ensuring compliance with GAAP/FAR/CAS and EY policies.

The role emphasizes collaboration across finance teams, problem solving, and timely financial reporting, with potential use of AI tools like Copilot to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint experience required.
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and configurations.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports.
• Assist with close activities and audit requests.
• Reconcile subledgers and perform month-/quarter-/year-end close.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
