Job summary

Withum is seeking an experienced Cost Segregation Senior Manager/Principal to lead a national Cost Segregation practice from our East/West Coast offices. You will drive strategic growth, oversee engagements, and mentor a growing team across regions.

Ideal candidates possess 10+ years in cost segregation or related tax services, strong leadership, business development, and deep knowledge of depreciation strategies and regulatory guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Master's degree, MBA, CPA, or other relevant professional credential preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in cost segregation, tax consulting, engineering-based tax services, or related field.
• Proven experience leading and growing a professional services practice or business unit.
• Experience building, mentoring, and managing teams and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing all aspects of cost segregation engagements from opportunity assessment through final delivery.
• Performing and reviewing cost segregation studies for commercial and residential properties.
• Researching and documenting applicable tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidance.
• Providing strategic tax planning recommendations designed to maximize deductions, reduce tax liability, and improve client cash flow.
• Identifying additional tax-saving opportunities and value-added services for clients.
• Staying current on legislative, regulatory, and industry developments impacting cost segregation and related tax incentives.
• Developing and implementing best-in-class processes, procedures, and methodologies for delivering cost segregation services.
• Establishing and managing quality control standards across engagements.
• Creating scalable operating procedures and training materials to support future growth.
• Recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of cost segregation professionals.
• Fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and exceptional client service.
• Leading cross-functional teams and coordinating resources across service lines to support client needs and growth initiatives.
• Serving as a subject matter expert and resource to firm leadership and team members regarding cost segregation strategies and opportunities.
