Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support cost management across large-scale life sciences, pharmaceutical and biotech projects. You will drive cost plans, risk reviews and value engineering while coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in cost management or QS, a related degree, and strong analytical and communication skills. On-site role with exposure to high-technology facilities and complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3–5 years of cost management, quantity surveying, estimating, or commercial management within construction.
• Experience supporting medium to large-scale construction projects is required.
• Life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory or highly technical projects preferred.
• RICS accreditation or progress toward accreditation valued.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on procurement strategies and support contract awards.
• Develop construction estimates and cost plans; review estimates from junior staff.
• Meet with contractors and vendors to review costs and validate assumptions.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and risk registers; manage cost control processes.
• Assist with contract administration and dispute avoidance; monitor invoicing and change orders.
• Collaborate with project teams to drive commercial outcomes; support project closeout.
