Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support complex Life Sciences construction projects. You will serve as the primary client interface, delivering value‑added cost management across manufacturing, laboratory, and R&D facilities, while leading and mentoring teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, stakeholder management, and independent working skills, aligning with Turner & Townsend values and project delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a field related to construction.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation is preferred or working towards it.
• Experience leading cost management on medium or large construction projects of medium to high complexity.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
• Review and participate with the design services team and general contractor in developing cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimate updates by coordinating with project stakeholders.
• Coordinate cost information from NPA, subs, and quantities from A/Es for cost discussions.
• Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects.
