Job summary

Oklo is seeking a Cost Accountant to own cost identification and coding for capital project spend, collaborating with project controllers, procurement, and accounts payable. You will manage the fixed assets register and oversee depreciation, journal entries, and month-end close.

You will ensure GAAP compliance and SOX controls while supporting internal and external audits and providing accurate financial reporting to support Oklo's growth.

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP accounting experience with month-end close.
• Experience supporting SOX controls and audits.
• Expertise in fixed asset registers and depreciation.
• Ability to analyze variances and maintain internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to review capitalization of project spend.
• Maintain supporting docs for capitalization, asset records, depreciation.
• Support audits by providing asset schedules and control evidence.
• Confirm asset descriptions, ownership, location, useful life and cost centers.
• Ensure single source of truth for capital project portfolio reporting.
• Manage capital project lifecycle: additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation.
• Monitor construction-in-progress balances and transfer to fixed assets.
• Run monthly depreciation and post related journal entries.
• Reconcile fixed asset subledger to general ledger monthly.
• Prepare fixed asset roll-forwards and capital expenditure schedules.
