Job summary

Oklo is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage cost identification and coding for capital project spend, including for plant and inventory workstreams. This role collaborates with project controllers, procurement, and AP to ensure GAAP treatment and maintain the fixed asset register.

The candidate will handle monthly depreciation, asset disposals, and month-end close, while supporting internal/external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including fixed asset or cost accounting.
• Experience managing fixed asset additions, depreciation, disposals, reconciliations, and capitalization assessments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, fixed asset accounting principles, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review project spend for proper capitalization under policy.
• Maintain asset records, depreciation, and disposals in accordance with policy.
• Support audits with fixed asset schedules, transaction support, and control evidence.
• Partner with project controls to confirm asset details and placement.
• Coordinate fixed asset lifecycle: additions, transfers, disposals, and reclassifications.
• Run monthly depreciation and post related journal entries for month-end close.
• Reconcile fixed asset subledger to GL monthly and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare fixed asset roll-forwards and capital expenditure schedules.
