Job summary

ŌURA is seeking an Accounting Manager, Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting to own global capital assets, lease accounting, and related CAPEX workflows. This senior IC role partners with Engineering, IT, Facilities, and Legal to ensure accurate GAAP reporting and SOX control execution.

The candidate will lead end-to-end accounting for PP&E, intangible assets, and internal-use software, while driving scalable processes and cross-functional collaboration across the Corporate Accounting team.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, with at least 4+ years of ownership over fixed assets, CAPEX, leasehold improvements, capitalized software, and ASC 842
• Deep proficiency in US GAAP (ASC 360, ASC 350-40, ASC 842) and understanding of cash flow impacts
• Experience in real estate transactions, facility build-outs, TI allowances, and software capitalization
• Senior Manager/Manager level with cross-functional collaboration and SOX ownership
• Systems familiarity with Tier-1 ERPs (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and fixed asset/lease modules
• Industry experience in hardware/tech/software/capital-intensive businesses is preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end accounting for PP&E, intangible assets, CIP, and LHIs; track capitalization timing and amortization.
• Own ASC 350-40 internal-use software capitalization; coordinate with Product, Engineering, IT on project tracking and capitalization.
• Manage global lease accounting (ASC 842); verify classifications, discount rates, additions, and monthly ROU reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate cash flow presentation and financial statement integrity for fixed assets, software, leases, and CAPEX; support close.
• Partner with Technical Accounting for impairment/valuation reviews and write-offs when needed.
