Responsibilities

• Supervises the performance of security personnel assigned to shift.
• Assists with employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and counseling sessions.
• Assists with shift briefings with all officers and informs subordinates of changes.
• Conducts routine security checks of work areas and living units; conducts counts.
• Investigates inmate complaints and counsels inmates as required.
• Monitors inmate movement; performs related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience

Criminal justice or related degree may substitute for half of required experience
