Job summary

South Carolina Department of Corrections is seeking a security supervisor to plan, coordinate and direct the actions of security staff within a medium/maximum security facility. The role oversees custody and control of inmates and ensures OSHA standards are met.

Responsibilities include conducting unit inspections, assisting with inmate counts, investigating incidents, and resolving disputes between inmates and staff. Must complete eight weeks of SCDC Basic Training after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and relevant experience; a related degree may substitute for experience.
