Job summary

Staff Today Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for Bel Air, Maryland. This on-site role features day shifts and a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting.

The RN will assess patients, administer medications, monitor progress, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe discharge instructions. A valid RN license and BLS are required, with documentation of current certifications and PSV when applicable.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted MD license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a RN.
• Copy of current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
