Qualifications

• One year as a Records Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Three years of clerical or correctional custodial experience including one year in a correctional facility
• An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of clerical or correctional custodial experience in a correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Record Management: Collect information from multiple sources to maintain accurate and complete inmate records
• Document Review: Examine court orders and related documents to determine proper actions for release, confinement, or sentence changes
• Identity Processing: Interview, photograph, and fingerprint inmates to ensure proper identification and documentation
• Information Coordination: Relay required updates to inmates, institutional staff, and partner agencies to support clear and timely communication
• Transport Authorization: Arrange and verify releases and transport procedures by confirming approvals and the identity of transporting officials
• Safety Support: Assist with escorts, respond to incidents, and conduct searches to maintain secure work areas
