North Carolina Department of Public Safety - Adult Correction is seeking a supervisory food service position at Greene Correctional Institution. You will supervise food service officers and ensure meals are safe, healthy, and properly prepared for inmates.

The role requires handling varied schedules, effective communication, inventory management, and adherence to sanitary food handling practices while coordinating training and operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of institutional food preparation and food services, in management of a commercial food service operations, or as a Correctional Officer, or an equivalent combination.
• Two years of related experience in institutional food service, or one year as a Correctional Food Service Officer.
• Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Responsabilités

• Supervise the correctional food service officers.
• Maintain the presentation of meals to inmates that are safe and properly prepared.
• Plan and develop operating procedures; manage inventory; requisition food and supplies within budget.
