Responsibilities

Supervise and instruct offenders in food preparation, serving, and cleanup according to menus and schedules.
Monitor sanitation, safety, and security standards in all food service areas.
Maintain control of tools, equipment, and offender movement to ensure facility security.
Inspect food items and supplies for quality and quantity; report shortages or discrepancies.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and ensure preventive maintenance is completed.
Coordinate timely meal service and distribution to housing units.
Train and oversee offender work crews to ensure adherence to food service standards.
