The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Food Service Supervisor III (S) for a multi‑custody male facility in Raleigh. You will supervise officers, oversee large‑scale food activities, and ensure the preparation and service of regular and therapeutic diets to offenders.

This full-time post requires daily food preparation, sanitation, menu planning, staff appraisals, and adherence to 24/7 operations, including weekends and holidays. Benefits are provided by the state.

Qualifications

• Must have four years of experience in institutional food preparation or management of food service operations, or three years as a Correctional Food Service Officer.
• Experience supervising employees or offender workers is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation, menu planning, inventory management, and large-scale food service production is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide supervision for Correctional Food Service Officers.
• Oversee offenders performing large-scale food activities.
• Supervise preparation and service of regular and therapeutic diets for offenders.
• Plan, direct, and supervise daily food preparation and serving of meals.
• Maintain sanitation and recordkeeping; use computerized food service systems.
• Conduct employee work appraisals.
