Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections is hiring a Corrections Food Service Coordinator at Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario. This temporary role leads AIC food service operations, ensures meals meet safety standards, and coordinates staff in a structured, secure setting.

Responsibilities include supervising up to 70+ adults in custody, managing meal preparation, sanitation, inventory, and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year of food service experience.
• Associate degree in Food Service Management or related field.
• Must obtain a Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, and train Adults in Custody (AIC) work crews in food service.
• Lead food preparation and serving according to menus and recipes.
• Oversee sanitation, storage, and dishwashing processes.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and recordkeeping of meals served.
