Job summary

Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a Corrections Food Service Coordinator to lead food production for Adult In Custody (AIC) crews. You will prepare meals, follow menus, ensure nutrition and sanitation standards, and maintain documentation.

The role includes enforcing security, responding to incidents, and overseeing related operations such as garden, warehouse, and canteen activities. You will train crews in sanitation, equipment use, and safety, and help manage timelines to minimize

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or higher AND one year of experience in a commercial food service facility or similar.
• OR An associate's degree in Food Service Management, Foods and Hospitality Service, or a directly-related field.
• Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support AIC work crews in large-quantity meal preparation.
• Follow established menus to meet daily nutritional standards and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain food service and training documentation through reporting channels.
• Enforce security procedures and monitor tools to prevent contraband; respond to incidents.
• Oversee food preparation timelines to reduce waste and ensure quality.
• Train crews in sanitation, equipment use, cleaning, and chemical safety.
