Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections seeks a Corrections Food Service Coordinator at Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, Oregon. You will lead daily food operations, supervise Adults in Custody, ensure meals meet menus, and maintain safety and sanitation standards in a secure setting.

You will coordinate, train, and manage kitchen staff, monitor inventory, and prepare records. This role is a temporary appointment with potential extension based on need.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED, or higher and one year of commercial food service experience; or an associate degree in Food Service Management or related field.
• Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire.
• Experience supervising kitchen staff in a group setting and ability to enforce rules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Adults in Custody (AIC) work crews; enforce security procedures; provide training and evaluate performance; monitor timecards and work area conditions.
