Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Seven years of related experience or equivalent.
• Must have current state/local licenses for HVAC, plumbing or electrical.
• U.S. citizen.
• Must obtain Texas TCOLE Jailer certification within one year.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Texas license within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled maintenance on mechanical and security systems (locks, doors, surveillance, fire alarms, life safety systems).
• Maintains and repairs HVAC systems (thermostats, fuses, belts, motors).
• Assists in major HVAC repair projects.
• Performs skilled plumbing tasks (pipes, drains, toilets, faucets).
• Repairs and maintains building components and security areas.
• Assists in project estimates and cost analyses; drafts repairs plans.
