GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to support the operation of our correctional facilities in Texas. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing building systems and equipment, with responsibilities that may include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of full-time maintenance experience, strong reading of electrical diagrams, and the ability to work overtime when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least five years of full-time maintenance or related experience.
• Ability to read electrical prints, diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs facilities and equipment.
• Oversees and assists detainee maintenance staff.
• Performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
• Operates related material handling and shop equipment.
• May perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC tasks as needed.
• Keeps records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• May perform duties of a Corrections Officer as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
