Job summary

The State of West Virginia is seeking a Corrections Facility Coordinator 1 (Operations) at the Denmar Correctional Center and Jail in Pocahontas County. Under supervision, the role maintains fixed assets records, reviews ACA documentation, and supports procedures to achieve ACA accreditation.

The position trains to cover Fire, Safety and Sanitation duties, conducts in-house inspections, coordinates with regulatory authorities, and may supervise inmate workers as needed, ensuring facility safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a lead worker capacity.
• Coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date fixed assets and perpetual supply inventory records.
• Gather, review and prepare ACA documentation for accreditation.
• Conduct in-house audits for fixed assets, inventories and ACA documentation for compliance.
• Assist in reviewing operating procedures and post orders; may supervise inmate workers; travel for training as needed.
