Job summary

The State of West Virginia seeks an ACA Accreditation Manager to oversee facilities in the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. You will maintain a division-wide auditing method to ensure compliance with agency standards, develop action plans, and contribute to after-action reporting across the division.

This on-site role requires travel and on-site reviews, including interviews of staff. The position is shared between Potomac Highlands Regional Jail and Chick Buckbee Juvenile Center,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field.
• Experience: 2 years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in a corrections, probation/parole, law enforcement, social work, recreation, religion or related behavioral or social science field.
• Substitution: Graduate coursework may substitute for the required experience at the rate of 15 semester hours per year.
• Substitution: Additional full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience may substitute for the required training at a rate of one year for every thirty semester hours.

Responsibilities

• Act as ACA Accreditation Manager for a caseload of facilities within the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
• Maintain a division-wide auditing method to ensure operational compliance with the standards set forth in the agency's policies and procedures.
• Lead action plans and after action report criteria to be utilized division wide.
• Travel for on-site reviews, staff interviews, and verifications of records and operations.
