Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) WorkSource West Training Facility in Morganton, NC seeks an Adjustment Services Instructor to provide vocational training to incarcerated individuals with disabilities. The role focuses on evaluating readiness, delivering curricula, and ensuring quality service delivery under established policies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of and/or experience helping others obtain employment.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license required to drive state vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inmate readiness for employment through observation, productivity, and work behaviors.
• Teach training programs and appropriate work behaviors to incarcerated individuals with disabilities using established curriculums.
• Manage job setup, workflow, and quality assurance processes.
• Document provision of services in accordance with rehabilitation plan and agency policy.

Bachelor’s in human services or business

Associate’s in human services or business (with 2 years related exp)
