Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in North Carolina seeks an IDD Vocational Center Instructor. The role includes administrative, documentation, program implementation, and monitoring tasks with supervision from the Vocational Program Manager; supervisory duties possible for up to two direct reports.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years’ experience with the target population; driver’s license and background checks required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2 years' experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• CPR, first aid, and role-specific certification a plus; ASL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and establish performance measurement workstations per DoL standards and oversee contract quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, neat, and healthy workplace for clients and staff at all times.
• Implement and monitor formal training programs for people supported; reference people supported handbook.
• Determine pay rates through time/cost studies and assist with wage surveys.
• Procure materials and design jobs to support production; inventory and document progress.
• Maintain daily schedules, track start/stop times, and verify PM station every 6 months.
• Engage with community job contracts; liaise between vocational center and community/business reps.
• Supervise: pre-employment interviews, training, assigning work, and evaluating team performance.
