Job summary

Elior North America is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for Summit’s corrections segment at Calvert County Detention Center, MD. You will coordinate and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient service, high standards, and food safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes training, adherence to standards, and leadership in a dynamic setting with on-site operations and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ideal candidate will have experience supervising a team.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meals begin on time, and maintaining quality in portion, appearance and temperature.
