Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Director to oversee operations inside a jail/correctional facility in Massachusetts. You will manage food preparation, serving, and cleanliness, while ensuring compliance with health codes and client contracts.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, budget oversight, and delivering quality service in a secure environment. A strong background in food service management with ServSafe is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and ability to complete reports.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and instruct team members and/or inmates in general food service practices.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served according to plan.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action.
• Review and approve payroll bi-weekly.
• Maintain positive client relations and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to team members.
• Ensure all staff are trained and follow safety procedures.
• Direct staff to enforce rules, policies, and security guidelines.
• Maintain accurate on-site reports of daily/monthly activity and finances.
