Job summary

Summit is seeking a motivated food service director for its Corrections team in Port Hadlock, WA. You will lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of the department to ensure that inmates and clients never miss a meal.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Responsibilities include directing all functions of the food service department, hiring and training staff, ensuring culinary, safety and sanitation standards, budgeting, and coordinating with the district manager

Qualifications

• Two+ years coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with strong client focus.
• Experience with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Budget for the department and manage purchasing and forecasting.
• Coordinate with district manager and other departments on dining service.
