Job summary

Summit in Fairplay, CO is seeking a motivated food service director to lead a team of food service workers and manage all aspects of the department to ensure that meals are served reliably. The role is non-exempt and paid hourly, with responsibilities across operations, safety, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment focused on client satisfaction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead and train a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
