Job summary

Elior North America’s Summit brand seeks a Food Service Director to lead a corrections dining operation in Port Hadlock, WA. You will manage the entire food service department, directing staff and resources to ensure timely meals for clients and inmates, while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

This non-exempt, hourly role requires coordinating operations, strong communication with staff and executives, and strict adherence to budgeting and vendor practices.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer service.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead and train a team of associates, including hiring.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budget the department, including purchasing ingredients and meeting targets.
• Consult with district manager on dining service technical and administrative aspects.
• Address customer service needs.
