Job summary

Summit is seeking a motivated food service director for the Corrections team in Superior, WI. You will lead a skilled staff, overseeing all aspects of the food service department to ensure meals are served on time and to specification.

The role requires coordinating operations, hiring and training personnel, and ensuring compliance with culinary, safety, and sanitation regulations. Strong communication with hourly staff and executives is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills with hourly staff and company executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budget the department, including purchasing ingredients and meeting targets.
• Coordinate with district manager or other departments on dining service issues.
