Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care in a correctional facility in Windom, Minnesota.

The role involves coordinating with physicians, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining meticulous documentation. The nurse will perform assessments, administer medications, provide emergency care as needed, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support rehabilitation and healthcare goals while upholding HIPAA and facility

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid care, when appropriate.
• Check and record vital signs, peaks, glucose checks, weight and other tests on-site.
