Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in a Minnesota correctional facility located in Moorhead. The role emphasizes patient care, documentation, and collaboration with medical staff to support behavioral health services.

The RN will assess and deliver care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and ensure HIPAA compliance. The position offers opportunities for professional development and cross-site coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided, in good standing.
• BLS certification with hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills demonstrating accuracy and timeliness.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders and clarify plans of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocol.
• Provide emergency first aid when needed.
• Check and record vital signs and other tests on-site as appropriate.
• Triaging intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Record data for CQI and chronic care documentation as indicated.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Collaborate with multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment.
• May cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities and train new hires.
