Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to deliver high-quality medical and behavioral health care within correctional facilities.

This role requires providing nursing care, administering medications, and coordinating with practitioners to ensure timely orders and patient safety. The position emphasizes adherence to HIPAA, documentation quality, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team across facilities.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid care when appropriate.
• Record vital signs and other measurements on-site.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Record data for statistical reporting and CQI.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Oversee and delegate duties as allowed under the RN scope of practice.
