Job description

Are you ready to grow your career? Empire Today is looking for a Corporate Recruiter to join our fast-paced Talent Acquisition team. The Corporate Recruiter will act as a consultant to hiring managers on sourcing candidates, interviewing, and negotiating offers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for full cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, and hiring, predominantly in a virtual (office) setting.
  2. Conduct sourcing for passive talent using traditional and creative sourcing methods including online searches, ATS searches, social media channels, and cold calling.
  3. Identify, recruit, interview, assess, and maintain a continual pipeline of qualified candidates.
  4. Maintain and document candidate communications and hiring process documentation through recruitment ATS (experience with Taleo preferred but not required).
  5. Manage posting of positions for recruitment organization on job boards and social media.
  6. Develop partnering relationships with hiring managers to maximize recruitment efforts and develop sourcing strategies.
  7. Assist in the coordination of interview schedules and travel plans when necessary.
  8. Assist recruiting system updates and reporting needs for the corporate TA team.
  9. Provide guidance to hiring managers in interviewing, negotiating salaries, and managing the recruiting process.
  10. Interact daily with leadership and staff across multiple cities in the US to resolve onboarding needs.
  11. Handle heavy outbound and incoming calls.
  12. Respond to candidate inquiries effectively, professionally, and in a timely manner.
  13. Work closely and communicate frequently with senior leadership to strategize recruiting initiatives.
  14. Prepare proactive plans to address recruiting in assigned markets.
  15. Prepare advertisement/sourcing relative to workforce needs.
  16. Provide new ideas to increase recruiting performance and deliverables.
  17. Maintain a daily log of activities and deliverables.
  18. Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned.

Note: Limited consideration for candidates in Washington (WA), Colorado (CO), California (CA), Illinois (IL), and certain areas in New York (NY).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years recruiting or related experience.
  • Previous call center class hiring experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous passive sourcing experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS system upgrades and reporting preferred.
  • Proven success in recruiting, preferably in home improvement/retail/construction environments.
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, ATS - Taleo, ADP).
  • Proficiency in full cycle recruiting.
  • Ability to cope with pressure and multitask.
  • Experience in virtual and field interviewing and recruiting.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State labor laws.
  • High regard for confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple openings.
  • Self-motivated with good planning and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the home improvement industry is a plus.
