Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Paralegal to support a client in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on corporate legal functions, maintaining records, preparing documents, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic, on-site environment.

The ideal candidate will have a paralegal diploma or equivalent experience, at least 3 years in corporate/commercial law, and strong organization and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Paralegal diploma or certificate, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience, with corporate or commercial focus.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with legal databases and corporate filing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate legal documents such as resolutions and minutes.
• Maintain corporate minute books and statutory registers.
• Conduct legal research and gather information for corporate matters.
• Support contract administration including reviews and organization.
• Assist with compliance tasks and corporate governance standards.
• Coordinate meetings and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations and reports for management.
• Organize and maintain legal files, physical and electronic.
• Assist onboarding of new legal personnel or advisors.
• Perform other paralegal duties as assigned by supervising attorney.
