Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as a corporate or commercial lawyer.
• Solid understanding of South African contract law, corporate law, and commercial regulations.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office setting in Welkom.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal advice and support on corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in managing litigation and dispute resolution processes.
• Conduct legal research on evolving laws and regulations impacting the business.
• Support the legal aspects of corporate projects and initiatives.
• Advise on employment law matters, intellectual property, and other general corporate issues.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.
• Liaise with external counsel when necessary.
