Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our client's legal team on a 6-month contract basis. This position will support an international retail luxury brand company based in NYC. The role is designed to provide coverage during a leave of absence and will start in November, allowing for overlap and training with the current team member.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with employment matters, litigation, and intellectual property, specifically focusing on trademark registrations and renewals.
• Prepare and manage board consents and maintain Adobe trackers.
• Perform operational and administrative tasks, demonstrating the ability to wear many hats.
• Collaborate with the real estate paralegal to support cross-functional legal needs.
• Experience with trademark registrations, renewals, and a notary is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous in-house experience in a corporate legal environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of employment law, litigation processes, and intellectual property management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
