Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland in Chicago seeks an Associate to lead mergers and acquisitions engagements from start to finish. The role requires drafting primary transaction documents and coordinating teams across disciplines and borders.

The successful candidate will manage multiple deals concurrently, liaise with clients, and ensure deals close smoothly while navigating complex regulatory and market considerations in the US and internationally.

Overview

• Experience is sought in M&A, private equity transactions, private investments, complex restructurings, joint ventures, and other transactions.
• The practice advises clients on national and international transactions across a wide range of industries and sectors, including manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, energy, timber, water and other natural resources, and financial services.
• The role requires leading M&A deals from inception through closing, including serving as the lead draftsperson for the primary transaction documents.
• The Associate must be able to manage multiple deals simultaneously.
• Collaboration with cross-disciplinary and cross-border teams on transactions and broader commercial matters is required.
• The position requires in-office presence three days per week.
