Job summary

MCM Midland Credit Management, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Paralegal I to support the in-house Corporate Litigation group under attorney supervision. The role involves assisting with defense of litigation, regulatory matters, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

The position reports to an attorney and collaborates with in-house counsel, paralegals, and external attorneys to advance company goals. Excellent Excel/PowerPoint skills and paralegal certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• 2+ years paralegal experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Paralegal Certificate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate litigation by assisting attorneys in defense of matters and lower risk class actions.
• Review legal documents including demands, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence; provide summaries.
• Draft settlement agreements and discovery; perform extensive analysis and research.
• Prepare reports using Excel and coordinate with outside counsel and internal teams.
