Encore Capital Group in the United States seeks a Corporate Paralegal I to support its in-house Corporate Litigation team under attorney supervision. You will review and draft legal documents, manage discovery, settlements, and communications, and perform independent investigations with Office tools.
The role requires an Associate’s degree and 2+ years paralegal experience or equivalent; a paralegal certificate is preferred. Competitive benefits and opportunities will be provided.

The Corporate Paralegal I provides support and assistance to the company’s in-house Corporate Litigation group under close attorney supervision. This position will be responsible for using their knowledge and skills to assist and support the defense of adverse litigation and management of regulatory matters.
They are also expected to be knowledgeable about, and supportive of, the company’s mission and values, its policies and procedures and its ethical and compliance standards. The position will report to an attorney and will collaborate with other in-house counsel, paralegals, outside attorneys, and other business teams in pursuit of company goals and objectives.

Certificate or equivalent
Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time, and work in a rapidly changing environment.
a paralegal certificate, 3+ years in a law firm or in-house legal department and willingness to obtain a paralegal certificate. Proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
Prior experience in a corporate setting and an understanding of consumer protection laws, including the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, etc.

Hourly Rate: $26.97 - $36.06 (Amount based on office location, relevant experience, skills, and competencies)
