Job summary

Midland Credit Management seeks a Corporate Paralegal I to support the in-house Corporate Litigation group under attorney supervision. You will review documents, draft settlements and discovery, perform analysis, and prepare Excel reports while coordinating with outside counsel and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree, 2+ years paralegal experience (or 3+ years without a certificate), and a Paralegal Certificate.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
• 2+ years paralegal experience; or 3+ years without certificate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
• Knowledge of consumer protection laws (FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate litigation by assisting attorneys in defense of matters.
• Review legal documents, draft settlements and discovery, and prepare findings.
• Run reports and prepare Excel-based reports; assist in hearings with attorney support.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and internal teams to gather information.
