Job summary

Kforce is seeking an Event Manager in Columbus, OH to plan and execute domestic internal and external events in collaboration with business partners and internal Events colleagues. This hands-on role requires managing budgets, vendor coordination, travel, and on-site logistics while maintaining adherence to firm procedures and risk management expectations.

Qualifications

• Five years plus of experience in meeting planning/event management; Corporate environment preferred (financial industry experience a plus)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly
• Dedicated and focused with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate strong judgment and ability to respond quickly and diplomatically to stressful, difficult, and changing situations
• Must be detail-oriented, show initiative, and work effectively as both a team member and independently
• A passion for detail and an ability to think creatively is critical
• High degree of professionalism, flexibility, and discretion
• Highly collaborative, enjoys working with others, and can build strong relationships with various partner teams
• Microsoft Suite with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute multiple internal and external events/meetings in Columbus, OH
• Coordinate budgets, RFP processes, vendors, contracts, and travel
• Manage logistics, including AV, catering, decor, staffing, and onsite support
• Develop timelines, trackers, and workflow schedules with partners
• Ensure compliance, risk management, and independence in vendor relations
• Provide input on event development and attendee experience
• Assist with post-event closeouts and reporting
