Job summary

Halliburton Energy Services in Houston seeks an Accountant, Legal Entity Equity Accounting to assist corporate accounting with equity investments, intercompany activity and related reporting. You will support month-end close, reconciliations, and equity rollforwards, ensuring accurate financial results and compliance with U.S.

GAAP and SOX controls. The role requires 3–5+ years in corporate or equity accounting, with a CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA or active pursuit of CPA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries for legal entity equity, investments, and intercompany activity.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate results.
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Support equity reporting, including rollforwards and ownership activity.
• Gather, validate, and analyze financial data for accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX controls.
• Coordinate with cross-functional groups to obtain support and deliver accurate reporting.
• Prepare audit support and respond to audit requests, maintaining documentation.
• Research and resolve accounting issues related to equity activity and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed.
