Job summary

Halliburton Energy Services in Houston, TX is seeking an entry‑level Associate Accountant to support external reporting and SEC filings. This role provides exposure to public company reporting and foundational accounting concepts.

You will work with the External Reporting team and partners across Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, and FP&A to prepare Form 10-Q/10-K/8-K filings, earnings releases, and disclosures while building technical accounting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• No prior accounting experience required.
• Strong academic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Interest in financial reporting and public company accounting.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K).
• Assist in gathering and validating financial information for external reporting.
• Prepare and maintain schedules and reconciliations for disclosures and management reports.
• Support U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and compliance procedures.
• Perform workpaper tie-outs for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather timely reporting data.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements for reporting efficiency and controls.
• Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as required by management.
• Assist in earnings release materials and related documentation.
