Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Corporate Engagement Volunteer Manager to deepen donor engagement and strengthen corporate partnerships and volunteer programs across Southern California. The role drives fundraising support, expands community impact, and collaborates with senior leadership to align initiatives with the mission.

Responsible for building a robust volunteer program, coordinating LA Metro and regional offices, and delivering training, recognition, and data

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory ability.
• 3-5 years' experience in volunteer program development and coordination.
• Familiar with Word, Excel, Publisher, and/or other appropriate desktop applications.
• Must have the ability to work and relate well with people.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to type 45 wpm.
• Meet health and safety regulations as defined by the Health Department and The Salvation Army.
• Must work in a team environment yet be self-directed.
• Must have a valid California Driver's License and clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a volunteer program aligned with divisional goals.
• Create detailed job descriptions for short-term and ongoing projects.
• Establish recruitment, registration, background checks, placement, and evaluation processes.
• Collaborate with corporate partners to align volunteer opportunities with CSR goals.
• Provide project support, proposals, planning, and impact reporting to partners.
• Promote volunteer opportunities with Marketing and Communication teams.
• Lead LA Metro Echelon Chapter and coordinate with regional offices.
• Provide ongoing volunteer training and orientation programs.
• Develop a recognition program and collect feedback for improvements.
• Maintain a volunteer database and generate quarterly engagement reports.
• Coordinate and support events such as Thanksgiving and Christmas programs.
